Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), CSPS offers BSAS-funded programs the supports they need to implement and sustain effective prevention programming. To do this work, CSPS work with grantees to implement SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework. READ MORE Image The Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) is a five-step planning model developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The SPF was developed to help local communities select, implement, and evaluate evidence-based substance misuse prevention processes and interventions that are culturally appropriate and sustainable. Featured Resource SAMHSA’s national youth substance use prevention campaign helps parents and caregivers, educators, and community members get informed, be prepared, and take action to prevent underage drinking and other substance use. The Center offers technical assistance, capacity building, strategic planning support and resources to more than 60 Bureau of Substance Addiction Services —funded programs and other communities across the state who are seeking to prevent and reduce the use of alcohol and other drugs, particularly among youth.
